Founder Kathleen Schafer created Leadership Connection in 1995 out of a desire to support individuals, groups and organizations to effectively create necessary change both within and outside the political system. Her goal is to provide guidance for those who wish to inspire transformative change in their lives, their organizations and their communities. Her work has blossomed from focus on the individual political leader to encompass the vast spectrum of individuals who wish to have a greater impact on our world.

Kathleen has developed her work through her experiences as a political consultant, business owner, university professor, radio talk show host, volunteer, friend and mother. Kathleen coaches, teaches and speaks to thousands of people worldwide supporting their understanding of their purpose and leadership and how to put them to work in the world. Her recent accomplishments include being among the first to teach emerging leaders in Iran, Egypt, and Jordan; her innovative approach to balanced leadership and on-line learning has spurred demand for this material around the globe. Kathleen’s first book, “Living the Leadership Choice: A Guide for Creating Change in Your Life and the World” will be published in 2011.
