Kathleen created Leadership Connection in 1995 out of a desire to support individuals, groups and organizations to effectively create necessary change both within and outside the political system. Her goal is to provide guidance for those who wish to inspire transformative change in their lives, their organizations and their communities. Her work has blossomed from focus on the individual political leader to encompass the vast spectrum of individuals who wish to have a greater impact on our world. Kathleen’s unique approach integrates a variety of disciplines and more than 20 years experience in political consulting, higher education, strategic communications, organizational development, team building, Ayurvedic practices and human potential. As Leadership Connection continues to grow, she is focused on speaking, curriculum development and coaching. From university classrooms and corporate boardrooms to Capitol Hill and the radio airwaves, in the United States and internationally, she has literally helped thousands of people from many walks of life progress in their journey toward more effective leadership and the realization of their goals.

Susan Henkels has an eye for the artistry of successful relationships. Similar to her own journey as an artist in multiple mediums, Susan understands the beauty in each situation and how to successfully navigate life’s challenges in relationships, particularly those with teenagers. Rooted in her experience as a mother and grandmother and her 30-plus years as a licensed therapist her no-nonsense coaching cuts through chaos to get to the heart of the issue and to resolution. Born and raised in Illinois, Judy came to California to attend Occidental College and stayed to pursue her professional career, teaching English and creative writing at the high schools, community colleges, and universities throughout the state. As her teaching career blossomed, she discovered an affinity with helping young people prepare for the college admissions process. Using her skills as a writer and teacher, along with her expertise in the nuances and details of the college admission process, she helps students craft and develop outstanding college essays.
