Who We Are
Leadership Connection was founded in 1995, by Kathleen Schafer and her vision to serve individuals, groups and organizations in fully realizing their leadership potential. Everyone aspires to master the art of change—what we too few of us understand is that change one wishes to see in the world begins with the individual and radiates out. Only by unleashing our individual talents and strengths are we able effectively work with others to create the lasting and vital change in our lives that we all desire.
During the past 20 years, Kathleen has developed an effective and innovative approach to leadership that leads to real-world results while creating fulfilling lives for the leaders who subscribe to this approach. Leadership Connection’s strategy is built on simple concepts designed to reveal the truths hidden inside each person. Our goal is to strip away the false beliefs that are keeping people for reaching their potential and to do so in a way where they quickly become self-sufficient and do not become “consultant dependent.”
During the past 15 years, Kathleen and Leadership Connection have:
- Trained and spoken to thousands of people across four continents including: Ecuador, Egypt, Guatemala, Germany, Jordan, Iran, Peru and Venezuela
- Developed the entire political leadership curriculum for the Graduate School of Political Management at The George Washington University
- Coached hundreds of individuals in owning their leadership skills and more effectively using them for greater impact in their careers and life
- Spoken to a wide variety of groups throughout the country to provide insights into moving into their leadership potential

Coaching, Teaching and Speaking
To best meet our clients’ needs, Leadership Connection begins by creating a Leadership Development Plan incorporating one or more of the following approaches:
- One on One Coaching – Sessions take place in person, via-phone or online to assist you in developing your personal power.
- Group Leadership coaching – Single or multiple sessions are customized for each group.
- General Seminars – Leadership Connection offer a series of leadership courses, available to individual participants and large groups.
- Online courses – Leadership Connection offers courses and training on the web for individuals and groups to meet you wherever you are.
